Rae Hight

Rae Hight, RN, BSN, MA, CJT is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, certified Journal to the Self instructor, certified Health and Wellness Coach  and trained SoulCollage® facilitator.  Rae is a Certified Journal Therapist with the Therapeutic Writing Institute. She has been a health care professional for over 30 years and a Reiki practitioner since 1997.  She established Moxie Consultation in 1993.

Rae’s professional focus is holistic wellness, or the balancing of body, mind, emotion and spirit.  Through her roles as counselor, coach and instructor, Rae weaves her passion for writing and the creative arts with her long-standing interest in physical and mental health.  A powerful advocate for individual self-empowerment within the health care system, she encourages her clients and students to use their writing and art for self-expression during times of illness or injury.

She also facilitates memoir groups and supports her clients in their own writing projects, including poetry and fiction.  In 2004, she self-published Voices of WWII Veterans … A Kaleidoscope of Memories, an oral history of World War II veterans.

Rae also brings her expertise and interests to other health care professionals through presentations and CEU-authorized Journal to the Self courses and has co-authored with Kathleen Adams the Journal to the Self Workshop: Wellness Edition.

Rae provides counseling, coaching and instruction with individual clients and groups in her country studio, as well as on line.  In 2008, Rae and her husband installed a 5-circuit Cretan labyrinth for her clients, students and community to walk for meditation, inspiration and deepened self-awareness.
