COURSEWORK (Online or In Person)

Online Classes with the Therapeutic Writing Institute

All 8-week courses offered through the Therapeutic Writing Institute are approved for 16 hours of continuing education through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). All classes are DORA-compliant. Upcoming summer classes (4-week classes, approved for 8 hours of CE), Jul 12-Aug 8:

In-Person Seminars at Our Offices in Wheat Ridge

One-day seminars in The Power of Journal Therapy (basic clinical theory and applications) are held several times a year in our conference room at 38th and Marshall, Wheat Ridge, with ample free parking. Space is limited. Coffee, tea, continental breakfast and afternoon snack provided. $149 early registration, 6 CPD hours. Registration and continental breakfast, 8:30-9:00; seminar 9-noon and 1-4.  Lunch on your own.

MENTORSHIP

Monthly individual or group consultation on how and when to add journal therapy to client services, stuck cases, resistant clients, diagnosis-specific interventions. In-person in Wheat Ridge or by teleconference or webinar.

CPD Hours: 1.5/session

INDEPENDENT LEARNING

Guided home study on the essential texts in journal/poetry therapy.
